Faith in Action Ministry sponsors team for Crop Walk on October 23rd
As MCC has done for years, we plan to have a team participate in the Crop Walk for Hunger. Food insecurity is rampant in the wake of pandemic-caused financial problems. Putting our faith into action means actually doing unto others as we would have them do unto us. It means walking the walk, not just talking the talk. This is an opportunity to”walk the walk”, although whether you actually do the walking or not, the important thing is raising funds to support local food pantries who are providing food to those facing difficulty getting enough and appropriate food for themselves and their families.
The Walk this year will be held on Sunday afternoon, October, October 23 at 1 p.m.. The race starts and ends at First Parish at 20 Lexington St in Concord….and will be encouraged by the CCHS pep band playing lively music!
We are meeting with the youth group this week and hope that they will be enthusiastic about participating on MCC’s team!
