Baptisms, weddings, and funerals are some of the most meaningful moments in our life together, marking times of joy, commitment, grief, and hope. At MCC, we walk alongside individuals and families as they celebrate new beginnings, make sacred promises, and honor the lives of those they love. Whether you are deeply rooted in the church or simply seeking a spiritual home for an important milestone, our pastors and community are here to offer guidance, care, and a welcome that embraces every story.
Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals
Baptisms
Baptism is a sacred milestone in the Christian journey, a celebration of God’s love and a welcome into the life of the church. Whether you are seeking baptism for your child or for yourself, MCC would be honored to share in this moment with you. Baptisms typically take place during our regular Sunday worship service, and there are no fees for the sanctuary or for pastoral leadership. We do ask parents and godparents (if any) to meet briefly with the pastor beforehand to prepare for the day. If you’d like to begin the scheduling process or learn more, please use the contact form at the bottom of this page.
Weddings
Our spacious sanctuary, parlor, and fellowship hall are available to rent for weddings, offering an affordable way to host your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one welcoming place. Weddings at MCC are officiated by our pastor and follow the beautiful liturgy of the United Church of Christ’s Book of Worship. Couples typically meet with the pastor for up to three premarital counseling and planning sessions to prepare for the day.
If you would like another clergy person to share in the service, this can be arranged with the pastor’s permission. In these cases, the honorarium for MCC’s pastor should match or exceed that of the visiting clergy, and both clergy will meet with the pastor in the weeks prior to the wedding.
As an Open and Affirming congregation, MCC joyfully performs legal weddings for all couples. Please use the form at the bottom of the age to contact us for our fee schedule, building availability, and next steps.
Funerals & Memorial Services
In times of loss, we are committed to offering care, compassion, and steady support. Whether you are planning a service on your own or working through a funeral home, we will walk with you through each step. Our pastor officiates funeral and memorial services in the MCC sanctuary, at local funeral homes, and at the graveside. For our fee schedule, availability, or guidance during this tender time, please use the contact form at the bottom of this page.
