Faith comes alive when compassion turns into action. At MCC, we partner with local and global organizations to support neighbors, address hunger, and build a more just and loving world. Alongside contributing nine percent of our annual giving budget to mission partners, we also roll up our sleeves for hands-on service. Whether we’re cooking meals, walking to raise awareness, or standing with our neighbors in need, we seek to live out our call to love God by serving humanity.

Open Table Logo

Open Table offers healthy and culturally appropriate groceries and prepared meals at its Maynard facility, along with mobile pantries and delivery programs that reach families and individuals throughout central Middlesex County. They create a welcoming community of support for neighbors of all ages, including many seniors and children. MCC partners with Open Table by providing volunteers who help prepare meals, staff the pantry, and offer hospitality so that every guest is greeted with dignity and care.

The CROP Hunger Walk supports the global mission of Church World Service, which works for just and sustainable solutions to hunger, poverty, and displacement. Twenty-five percent of all funds raised stay in the local community to support nearby hunger-relief programs. What began in the late 1960s as a simple walk to help hungry neighbors has grown into a nationwide movement. By walking and raising funds each year, MCC joins thousands of others working toward a world where everyone has enough.

Project Bread's Walk for Hunger Logo

The Walk for Hunger is Project Bread’s flagship community event, uniting thousands of neighbors every first Sunday in May to take a stand against food insecurity in Massachusetts. Since 1969, walkers of all ages and backgrounds have come together to raise funds and awareness for programs that help families access the food they need. By joining the walk, MCC adds its voice and energy to a statewide movement working toward a hunger-free Massachusetts.

Sudbury Community Coat Closet Logo

MCC is partnering with the Sudbury Social Workers Office to launch the Sudbury Community Coat Closet, a new effort to ensure that every neighbor has what they need to stay warm this winter. Beginning in fall 2025, we will be collecting new and like-new coats, hats, and mittens for nearly one hundred Sudbury residents of all ages who need winter gear. Community members are invited to sponsor a coat or donate items directly, with several drop-off locations available around town. Together we can offer warmth, dignity, and care to our neighbors as the cold season arrives.
