MCC is a friendly, safe, inviting place to come and explore your faith. Not everyone here believes exactly that same thing – and that’s the way we like it. When we gather together, we believe that God is still speaking to us and that we learn more about God and about ourselves when we are in community.

We are a congregation that affirms every person as a child of God and we welcome everyone — regardless of race, ethnicity, gender expression and identity, sexual orientation, age, ability or financial situation.

Every Sunday, we promise to respect our differences as we seek to discover where God is leading us.

Our Mission

Reaching today’s generations; Mission that Invites; Faithful Stewardship of our Resources

Our Vision

Equipping and nurturing individuals to be their best selves in order to co-create a world reflecting Jesus’ inclusive ministry of peace, love, and justice.

Our Covenant

A covenant is a sacred promise we make to God and to one another — a commitment to walk together in faith, love, and shared purpose. At MCC, our covenant reads:

In the love of truth and in the spirit of Jesus,
we unite for the worship of God and the service of humanity,
and as the Lord’s free people,
we agree to walk together in all God’s ways
made known, or to be made known to us.

This promise shapes how we live out our faith and care for one another in this community.

About God

God is the source and sustainer of all life, the creative force behind creation and the love that holds it together. Many in our community understand God through the Trinity — as Creator, as Christ our Redeemer and brother, and as the Spirit who sustains us each day. We trust that God is still speaking, continually calling the world toward healing, justice, and a peaceable kingdom where all people are cared for with dignity and love.

About Jesus

Jesus shows us the heart of God with clarity and compassion. In his life and teaching, he lifts up the vulnerable, crosses boundaries of exclusion, and models a way of justice, mercy, and courage. As a church, we recognize Jesus Christ as our leader and look to his ministry as our guide in how we serve, make decisions, and live out our faith together.

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the presence of God moving within and around us, offering comfort, strength, and creativity. We believe the Spirit accompanies us through struggles, inspires us toward growth, and renews our hope each day. Through the Spirit’s guidance, we are invited into God’s ongoing work of compassion and transformation in the world.

About the Bible

We look to the Christian and Hebrew scriptures as a meaningful guide for our faith, trusting them to challenge, inspire, and ground us. At the same time, we believe God continues to speak today, and we honor the freedom of each person to interpret scripture thoughtfully and faithfully. We take the Bible seriously — but not always literally — listening for the wisdom it brings to our modern lives.

About the Church

The church is a community of people committed to walking together in faith, seeking God’s presence and purpose. As a Congregational church, MCC is self-governing — every member has an equal voice and vote in our life together. We strive to be a community where questions are welcomed, diversity is honored, and Jesus’ call to love God and neighbor shapes all we do.

About Humanity

Each person is created in the image of God, inherently loved and uniquely gifted, and we celebrate the rich diversity of God’s people. We welcome individuals of every race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, and background as full participants in our community. Though we sometimes fall short, God’s love remains steadfast, inviting us to grow in compassion, courage, and justice as we journey together toward wholeness.
