Each year the Music Committee sponsors a concert series, offering a wide variety of performers and genres. Some concerts have a nominal admission fee, while others are free with a suggested donation taken at the door. Donations have benefited various mission projects, general programming for the church, as well as the music program.

The Fall Concert, usually held in October, features chamber music and has hosted performers such as the Sudbury/Hudson Chamber Players, Triton Brass, and solo instrumental and vocal recitalists.

The Messiah Sing, held on the second Sunday of December at 3:00 PM, has been a tradition at MCC since 1973. A full orchestra is conducted by our Minister of Music and choral scores are provided to all in the audience.

The Spring Concert features a choir made up of singers from the Sudbury community and our own Senior Choir. Choirs from other churches often participate as well. Past performances have included Mendelssohn’s St. Paul, Rutter’s Te Deum, and Fauré’s Requiem.

Other concerts occur during the year, encompassing a wide variety of musicians and genres. For more information about our concert series,  contact us.
