Sudbury was predominantly a farming community from its settlement in 1638 until after World War II. Community life centered on the Grange and the Town’s churches. Without doubt, many gatherings focused on the seasonal harvests such as strawberries. The Strawberry Social reminds us of that agricultural and community heritage.
