The United Church of Christ is a unique organization.
It’s composed of local churches who covenant — or make a sacred promise — to join together to seek out and serve God in their own way. We honor and respect other churches ways of working, worshiping and wondering about God. Together we collaborate and share resources.
The national setting of the United Church of Christ provides guidance and resources but does not tell the local church what to do or not to do.
Member churches of the UCC recognize Jesus Christ as the sole head of the church. Each local congregation governs its own operation and mission.
